Rotary Club of Barrie Huronia donates $50K to multi-sensory room at Empower Simcoe home

With heartfelt gratitude, the Empower Simcoe Foundation unveiled the new Rotary Club of Barrie Huronia Snoezelen Room at Lakeshore Ridge, Empower Simcoe’s newest supported living home.

Thanks to the Rotary Club of Barrie Huronia’s generous donation of $50,000.00, the state of the art Snoezelen room (multi-sensory therapy) will be available for individuals with complex needs who will soon call Lakeshore Ridge home.6 people standing outside snoezelen room

“The Rotary Club of Barrie Huronia had the pleasure of touring Empower Simcoe’s Lakeshore Ridge Residence. Our $50,000 commitment supports this very worthwhile residential option providing wonderful supports for transition into community life. The state of the art home means success for so many individuals that historically may not have had the opportunity.
