Located just off Snow Valley Road in Midhurst, this exceptional not-for-profit establishment not only crafts stunning, fresh flower arrangements, but also runs the empowering Fresh Start Employability Program for women who are encountering barriers to employment. As a committed and inclusive employer, Fleurish has played a pivotal role in nurturing the talents of Ciara Reid and Kendal Serre, who are both supported of Empower Simcoe’s Employment Support Services program. Through this collaboration, Ciara and Kendal have gained valuable job skills, self-assurance, and a profound sense of achievement and belonging.
Kendal and Ciara have been lovely additions to our team! In just a short time, they have already shown an excellent work ethic and have been super helpful maintaining the day-to-day shop routines, learning about caring for flowers, and practicing a variety of soft skills."
~Lauren Tetford, Program Coordinator at Fleurish

For Kendal and Ciara, this experience has been equally fulfilling and meaningful. “I love Fleurish, and I’m enjoying learning more and more about flowers,” expresses Ciara.
“Fleurish is such a beautiful place to work, and the people who work there are just incredible,” exclaims Kendal! “It’s amazing to see how flowers grow into their beautiful, unique selves.”
As October marks National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), please join Empower Simcoe in celebrating the contributions of outstanding employers like Fleurish and the immense talent and value that employees like Ciara and Kendal bring to our workplaces and economy.
