A continuation of the MotherCare program, the Simcoe County Next Step Program provides a friendly and supportive drop-in environment for mothers with children aged 0-36 months weekly at locations all around Simcoe County (siblings under 7 are also welcome to attend).  The program is geared toward promoting and encouraging healthy families and child development.  Participants receive support and information on a wide range of issues such as breast feeding, health, post-natal and childhood nutrition, and community resources.  In addition, free grocery gift cards, nutritious foods, and other resources are provided.  This program is open to residents of Simcoe County who currently have a low income, are newcomers to Canada, and/or are young parents.
