Earth Day in Canada
Earth Day in Canada first emerged in 1970 with a significant protest in Windsor, Ontario, featuring a mock funeral on the Detroit River to highlight the ecological decline of the Lake Erie. In 1990, Canada officially embraced Earth Day, leading to the creation of Earth Day Canada, a national environmental charity dedicated to supporting Earth Day activities and fostering environmental awareness.
