Volunteer Appreciation Night

Volunteer Appreciation Night

Empower Simcoe is privileged to be supported by many individuals who volunteer their time to enrich the lives of others without asking for something in return. They lend time and expertise on many of our Boards and Committees, spend time reading stories at the EarlyON Child and Family Centres, assist some of our over 300 adults with meaningful activities through our Community Support Services, or raise funds in support of the Empower Simcoe Foundation.

On November 6th we held our 2019 Volunteer Appreciation Night to show our gratitude and celebrate their commitment to our mission of empowering people to lead a meaningful and inclusive life.

The theme of this event was ‘Building Blocks’, since our volunteers are fundamental building blocks for which our agency grows and succeeds. To underscore our theme we were joined by Noel Straatsma, Canada’s only Lego Master Builder, who gave a great presentation and filled the room with endless possibility.

We’d like to thank all of our volunteers for enriching lives throughout our community and helping Empower Simcoe provide everyone with the opportunity to Be, Belong, and Thrive.
