In taking on this central leadership role in Ontario’s developmental services sector, Claudine and Empower Simcoe will be at the forefront of discussions with government decision makers, advocating for funding and resources, and helping to drive Journey to Belonging.

With OASIS transforming from a volunteer-resourced organization to a CEO and staff-resourced corporation, our agency’s involvement comes at a critical time for us in light of these overlapping and historic sector transformations,” says Claudine.  “Stay tuned as we engage in crucial conversations and bring the voice of organizations that provide services and supports to families and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to our decision makers.

Congratulations, Claudine!

Transformation is happening all around us; within the section and the broader environment. We want to be aligned with, and ahead of that change. We will leverage our reputation and expertise as we grow our organization by taking the good we are doing and making changes to what we could be doing better.

Giving back makes me feel that I’m contributing a little bit to making life better for other people. It’s my small contribution. I want to make life a little bit easier and happier for people, to know they are loved and cared about and are important.
